A hydrophobic barrier is built between the microfiber surface and the inner sponge, helping prevent coatings from soaking deep into the applicator. This keeps more product where you need it—on the microfiber surface and on the vehicle.

The result is a smoother, more controlled application with less product waste. The barrier also helps reduce excess coating buildup inside the applicator, which can become tacky or gummy as the coating begins to cure.
